Singapore’s United Overseas Bank has funded a report written by the Hong Kong University Institute For Emerging Markets titled ‘The Belt & Road Initiative In ASEAN’.
It deals with the regional economic integration between China, Hong Kong, and the ASEAN nations of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and runs to 28 pages.
Chapters include articles on “Six Emerging Markets In South East Asia”, the impact of Covid-19, provides a list of Chinese FDI and construction projects underway in the region, the role of China’s SOE’s and Private Enterprises, the role of Hong Kong, and concludes with a chapter about Opportunities and Challenges.
