Trade is conducted along the rail networks running from Belarus, through Russia, Kazakhstan and finally to Kyrgyzstan. While trade volumes remain relatively small, increasing from US$35.8 million in the same period the previous year and up to US$51.2 million this, the increase is of note in terms of overall improvements in EAEU and cross-Eurasian trade.

China has also heavily invested in Belarus with the Great Stone Industrial Park sited near to the Minsk airport and road/rail connections through to Poland.

During the January-July 2022 period, Kyrgyzstan imported goods from Belarus worth US$35.4 million, an increase of 29.1%. Exports of goods from Kyrgyzstan to Belarus in the same timeframe reached US$15.8 million, an increase of 88%.

That has meant that Belarus took 3rd place among the main trading partners of Kyrgyzstan of EAEU countries, with Russia ranking first with US$1.7 billion, followed by Kazakhstan at US$665.5 million.
