Dear colleagues, 

The III International Symposium on Fruit Culture along Silk Road Countries will be held from July 10-14, 2023 in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, under auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and Chinese Society for Horticultural Science (CSHS). It is our pleasure to host this symposium and invite you to attend! 

This event will be an excellent opportunity to bring together researchers, technicians, and other experts from different countries to present their research innovations, to share ideas and knowledge and discuss future perspectives of fruit culture. With the theme of the conference being “Ancient Road, Modern way”, We aim at creating a unique exchange forum for discussing recent progress in the following topics:  

  • Genetics and Breeding;
  • Underutilized Germplasm Indigenous to Countries along Silk Road;
  • Flowering, Fruit Set and Fruit Quality;
  • Rootstocks, Training-Pruning and Smart Orchard;
  • Orchard Soil Management;
  • Postharvest Technology and Processing;
  • Integrated Pest and Disease (including diseases caused by viruses, phytoplasmas and viroids) Management to Cope with the Climate Change.

The conference will be hosted by Zhejiang University in Hangzhou City, the capital of Zhejiang Province, which is located along southeast coast of China and is 200 km south of Shanghai, the largest city in China. Hangzhou has three UNESCO World Heritages, West Lake, The Grand Canal and Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, and is one of the most famous tourist destinations in China because of its long history of over 2,200 years and beautiful scenery. Hangzhou is also renowned as “Home of Silk”, “Paradise on Earth”, “Tea Capital”, “Town of Fish and Rice”. 

We expect that all attendees will enjoy the stay in Hangzhou during the conference.
